Hello there! Welcome to an exciting year, as we all begin another year at Haller Middle School. Here's a little bit of background on me. I hope it helps you get to know me a little bit. Hey and you never know, maybe some of this will show up as extra credit on a written quiz! My name is Kim Anderson and I was born and raised in a small town in Eastern Washington, called Davenport (Home of the Gorillas). I attended Eastern Washington University where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education. I received my Masters degree in Education from City University along with an endorsement in reading and literacy during the summer of 2005. I have been teaching middle school students since 1995 and had been with Post Middle School since the fall of 2003. With the 2005 - 2006 school year I had the opportunity to move to Haller and join all of you in the opening of this fabulous new middle school. I am a very busy person trying to squeeze in everything I love to do. I am the head volleyball & basketball coach at Haller Middle School. Hobbies of mine include sports, home remodeling projects (just got done redoing our bathroom), reading when I have time, crafting and following the Mariners and Sounders, as well as spending time with family and friends. My family consists of my husband Jim, who is also a teacher for Arlington High School, my four daughters, Kelsee, Abby, Brittany and Natalie and of course our dog, Mojo. Oh yeah, we can't forget about our daughters' cat, Kenji. Kelsee is in 10th grade at Arlington High School. Abby is in 8th grade and Brittany is in 6th grade this year at Haller Middle School. Little Natalie was born in May of 2009. She is growing so fast, I can hardly stand it. The three older ones are very active with soccer (each in select), basketball and volleyball, as well as attending as many sporting events and camps as they possibly can. They definitely keep my husband and myself going! I look forward to meeting all of you face to face and having you in my class this year!
